On an international stage that featured the Circus Dumbbell, Fatback Farmers Carry, H-Stone Carry, and the Stone over Bar, our coach, Chad Wilde, squared off against strongman athletes from all over the world at the 2018 Arnold Amateur Strongman World Championships. Ultimately he finished 20th in his division and has plans to return in 2019 stronger and just as ready to compete.

Weigh-ins were held at Red Roof Plus near the Columbus Convention Center. Chad weighed in at 205 lbs for the middleweight division (231 lbs and lower) of the 2018 Arnold Amateur Strongman World Championships.

The 2nd competition even was the Fatback Farmers carry. Each “handle” weighed 230 lbs.
The goal was to do 4 deadlifts at designated markers at the start, middle, and end of each lane in under a minute.
Chad was able to complete the farmers carry in 21.63 seconds putting him in Heat 4 out of 6.

The Stone Over Bar is one of the toughest events. The stone weighs 330 lbs. and competitors have to do as many reps as possible in a minute.
